Will there be any training before I join? How will I prepare myself for the job?
This is the question that young people usually ask before joining any organization or institution. You might feel inferior if the person interviewing you has the title Professional or Expert added to their designation. You might feel that you are not qualified or know enough to take this job. These are common fears of people before taking up new jobs or new roles. This is where job skills training comes into the picture. It is the most critical stage that every employee should go through so they can achieve maximum productivity and the company receives excellent results.
Without training, employees may not perform up to the expected professional level. Untrained workers have very less value to add to the company and cannot be efficient. Employees who are not trained, they underperform and this leads to losing time which results in the company losing money. Here, in Chillibreeze, we know that job skills training in Shillong is limited. Therefore, we provide training for the primary service we provide our customers. That train recruits how to perform our core service, which is formatting and designing presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
To relate more, let me share my own story and how I experienced training and chose Chillibreeze as a career.
My Background
I graduated from St Anthony’s in 2012 with a degree in B.Com. I also did computer courses from NIIT, Shillong. I took Tally and received a Diploma in Finance Accounting. After these courses, I knew it was the right time for me to get a job. I started applying for jobs here and there. It was from NIIT encouraged me to apply for a job at Chillibreeze.
Finding Chillibreeze and what made me apply!
I had seen the advertisements previously, but never dared to apply since the post said, ‘PowerPoint Expert’. The word ‘expert’ always stopped me from applying. But when NIIT suggested me to apply in Chillibreeze I said to myself why not? Why not give a try?
I applied with a bit of fear in mind since I do not have any design skills. How will I fit in this place? They will probably be looking for someone who’s good at PowerPoint design, that was what I thought. However, I applied and the usual recruitment took place. Luckily I got selected and we were informed that there will be a training.
Reaction about the training and my experience
I was excited since I didn’t have any design background. They said the training that will prepare us for the job. I have always thought that PowerPoint would be the same as the one we’ve learnt and used during our college days and computer courses. But amazingly, there’s more to it, we can do so much with PowerPoint. I learned about how the smallest of details like alignment, spacing, internal margin and so much more, can make a presentation look professional. During our Chillibreeze job skill training, we are also taught how to follow different design styles of Chillibreeze’s Customers like Microsoft, Audienz, Mastercard and PepsiCo.
One more thing during our training period, we not only learned PowerPoint but we also learned to adapt and align to company’s set of values. These values really helped and built me a lot as a person. I’ve developed many good habits like being punctual, not to get defensive when given feedback, and how to be candid.
Chillibreeze is looking for people who aspire to succeed, who is willing to learn, who challenge themselves and who want to see a transformation in their lives through professional work. So don’t worry about training before you join, trust me, you will acquire the skills needed. Apply today and make a difference.
