Have a little more faith, put in a little more effort, do a little extra, appreciate a little more, and little by little, you will achieve more than you can ever dream of.
- Dolcey Jones
I remember coming up with that quote when I was having my worst day in Chillibreeze.
You must have heard the Chillibreeze HR team saying, "Chillibreeze is NOT for everyone," and they were right.
Initial Years
Let me take you back to my initial years in Chillibreeze.
Before joining Chillibreeze, I would see Ads, flyers, or posts on Social Media content such as:
"Do You Want to Work in a Challenging Environment? Are you ready to be Challenged? Looking for Determined People."
And many more...
These statements captured my attention; I browsed the website, read the working culture, and saw what they did.
And I thought in my weird but creative mind, "Who do they think they are? Google!
It's Only PowerPoint; how hard can it be if they are willing to train freshers?
I kept thinking 🤔 work is work; yes, we need to work hard, but how challenging could it be?
I applied and got in...
Training
Six months into the training, I wept! And it was not that usual crying; you wiped your tears away and cried internally.
I bawled my eyes out because it was too hard. I followed every instruction given in the training, but I still could not get it.
We learned basic formatting skills in PowerPoint, attention to detail, and project management. I did what I was learning, but something was missing.
It was hard for me! I was behind on my skills; I was not meeting the expectations set.
My weird mind started mocking me, huh? What did you say, EASY? Who does Chillibreeze think of themselves? đź¤đź¤đź¤
I started feeling sorry for myself, I became a victim and started blaming everyone and everything else.
I could hear a little voice screaming, "What are you going to do? If you give up, you will be nobody. What are you going to do now? Where will you go? If you quit now, you will always quit if things are tough.
Lesson Learned
And at that moment, I remembered the learnings I learned in Chillibreeze; I connected my situation to Chillibreeze's story on Grit. If Ralph and Joanna had given up, I would not be here training for a job.
I collected myself, and I started scribbling,
Have a little more faith, put in a little more effort, do a little extra, appreciate a little more, and little by little, you will achieve more than you can ever dream of.
Little by little, each day, I worked hard. I started to keep a goal and forged my future of where I wanted to go and who I wanted to be.
I am doing what I love today, writing this blog, for instance. I would never be able to tell my story if not for Chillibreeze. I get to add value to others each day through the Inspire Course and I am learning and developing my skills each moment.
Most importantly, I am able to help my family and stand on two feet and be independent.
I finally understood why Chillibreeze is not for everyone. I learned about growth and the value of work.
I realized that if I don't have a purpose and I want it to stay easy or the same forever, then I should not be here.
That’s just the beginning.
