You will agree that families form one of the pillars that give us stability and character in our lives. Chillibreeze strengthens this bond by encouraging parents to visit its facility to see for themselves where their children work. This becomes more important as most of the newcomers are on their first job.
A family orientation program is an important event conducted at Chillibreeze at least once a year.
Chillibreeze conducted a different kind of family orientation program this year. If you read on, you will know how it was different!
Chillibreeze provides an atmosphere where we love to meet the family members of our employees who work with us. The employees spend most of their time here at Chillibreeze. Therefore, Chillibreeze likes to share with the family how we work and what we do.
In March 2021, we had an opportunity to meet with the family members of the participants of Bootcamp 3. The Bootcamp is the 4th stage of our hiring process after the candidates have passed their interview and completed the Chillibreeze Inspire Course. The Bootcamp is a training period of 2 months.
This time we celebrated the Family Orientation Event differently.
Let me tell you how it was different ...
Family Orientation Program
During March 2021, the Covid 19 pandemic condition had improved quite a bit, and the government and the private sector organizations, and certain schools were opened. However, even though we were allowed to go to work, we had to take certain precautions to prevent the spread. So, unlike an event where all the parents are invited at one go, we facilitated one-on-one sessions with each family. That was what was different.
We scheduled different time slots for each family to visit us. We, from the Chillibreeze team, divided ourselves into two groups and met with the families. Nafissa, our Human Resource Head, and Andy, our Production Team Head, were in one group. Nazarine, our Human Resource Associate, and Demander, our Business and Technology Services Head, in another group.
We held the family orientation over two days, on the 18th and 19th of March, 2021. Five family members attended the 18th March 2021 event and the remaining five families on the 19th March 2021. The timings for the orientation sessions were 10 a.m. till 4 p.m., and every family had an hour for the interactive orientation session.
The program was held at the Bootcamp facility of Chillibreeze, at what we refer to as ‘the Village’, in Mawlai Umshing. It was an interesting event as there were one-on-one conversations with each family. As a result, we got a chance to understand what the family members feel about their children being part of Chillibreeze. Vice versa, the family members could get many of their questions answered.
About the Company, Our CEO, Units, and Values
Each group shared with the family members about Chillibreeze, what kind of a company it is and how we work in serving our global customers by providing Overnight PowerPoint Services. We told them how we exist because of our CEO, Ralph Budelman, who is a visionary and aspires to release the potential of the people of this region.
The members who interacted with the family introduced the different business units of Chillibreeze, like Zizira, and Muezart and told them how these units are part of Chillibreeze and are also being run professionally.
We also explained how we work for long hours because we serve our global customers with sincere care, speedy service, and radical reliability. But, apart from that, we also learn a lot, which helps us grow and contribute more to the Company.
Interacting with the Family Members
It was a pleasure to see and understand the reactions of the family members. They were very eager to know about us and asked many questions. The team that interacted with them was excited to respond to their queries. They could also understand the trust the families have towards Chillibreeze.
Rebec, our Human Resource team member, had arranged for a light refreshment to be served.
During the refreshment break, the boot campers spent time with their family members and showed them around the village area and the rooms where they stayed.
During that time, the faculty of the Bootcamp program was able to meet the family members too and got a chance to interact with them. The trainers, Mariabiang, Hope, and Mason, felt that getting to know the family members was a great experience. From these interactions, they could sense the commitment of the Boot campers to excel in the program. The family members took the opportunity to ask the trainers more questions about their child.
The Family Members Share Their Experiences
Meet Leon's family members - his father, Bah Bernard Kharsyntiew had many questions about our Company; Nafissa and Andy were very excited to interact with him. We could see how excited he was and how he trusts and supports his child in the choice he has made of wanting to join Chillibreeze.
Here is how Merry's mother, Mrs. Aidralin Lyngdoh Nonglait, described her experience during the family orientation program. “The Village ambiance was a pleasant one,” she said with a smile on her face…
“I saw that the employees do not only come to work to do their tasks, but were all working with passion and determination. The employees working in Chillibreeze are very humble, and it felt as though I was talking to a friend,” she added.
Mrs. Aidralin Lyngdoh Nonglait had more to share! “I understand the purpose of Chillibreeze - it provides opportunities for the overall growth for the youth of Northeast India. My child is fortunate to be part of the Chillibreeze family.”
She was amazed and excited to see her child being taken care of very well. She was also pleased with the surroundings, as it was very open and with fresh flowers and greenery.
We felt that the Family orientation was a success as the family members were able to visit and see the working environment of their children. In addition, it brought trust and unity between the family members and Chillibreeze.
