Located in the Software Technology Parks of India, Shillong complex, Chillibreeze is not a new name or an unheard one in Shillong. From its humble beginnings with just two computers when it started out to state-of-the-art technology the company uses today, Chillibreeze has indeed come a long way. And this year happens to mark the company’s 10-year anniversary in Shillong!
How did it happen? And where did it all began? Now that’s an interesting story. Want to know more?
Ralph Budelman, CEO and Joanna Budelman, Director and Co-founder visited India in the 1990s. In the year 2004, they founded Chillibreeze in Bengaluru, which started as one of the first virtual content writing companies in India.
In the same year, Ralph and Joanna visited Shillong and they saw tremendous potential as well as opportunities in the people of Shillong. So in 2005, Chillibreeze added design to its portfolio. But at that point, Chillibreeze was serving customers via multiple platforms, like SketchUp, 3D Modelling, etc. The turning point came the following year when Chillibreeze began to see the potential in PowerPoint formatting services. With that, Chillibreeze began fine tuning and honing their skills with PowerPoint with lesser and lesser focus on the other platforms. Their focus was rewarded when The Arnold Group LLC became Chillibreeze’s first major client. Thereafter, Chillibreeze grew steadily by word of mouth and expanded its services to top companies across the globe.
Since then, Chillibreeze has been evolving and has undergone numerous refinements in a bid to stay competitive and keep pace with the ever changing and dynamic nature of customer requirements. Better still, Chillibreeze team members have been able to not only adapt but been able to overcome all the changes these last ten years. And with each change, the team as well as the company has grown stronger and more robust, ensuring a secure and sustainable future for Chillibreeze and the community around it.

Training and Development
As with every organization, Chillibreeze too provides a training and developmental platform to its employees, new as well as existing, so as to align their skill sets and work behavior with the goals and mission of the company.
At the end of a grueling eight weeks of training, candidates undergo a further three months in probation. During this period, they are closely monitored, coached and counselled on how they apply their recently acquired skills while demonstrating work behavior which is conducive to the vision of Chillibreeze.
Apart from skill oriented programs, development programs are also designed and delivered to all staff which cover key work life aspects like people management, project efficiency, time management, among many others.
Opportunities within and recognition for good work
Growth in Chillibreeze is not only vertical but horizontal as well. Staff may grow not only in terms of a promotion, but may also move across departments depending on their skill sets.
