Chillibreeze expands and grows when our employees have Spark! But what is Spark! Well, it is a term that evolved when our CEO, Ralph Budelman was talking with James Syngai, DGM (2011 - 2018) of the Presentation and Design Services. Ralph asked James, "What does your team need in order to grow?". To which James said, "I need more people with SPARK!" and that is how the term was first coined. Later the managers got together and over a few meetings were able to clearly define SPARK!
Read on to know more about Chillibreeze’s drive to see Spark in every person.
-Lovina Shangpliang, Sr. Manager, HR & Finance(2011 - 2018).
What is SPARK?
Spark is the opposite of stagnating, routine and purposeless work. It is about growing, learning, being challenged and having purpose and meaning.
Why SPARK?
Our customers demand that we keep getting better and better... To respond to this increasingly challenging environment, Chillibreeze's new venture SPARK! aims to create an environment where individuals go beyond doing tasks. SPARK! aims to enable individuals to understand the reason why they are doing the task so that they can take the initiative to do it better. They will know the importance of their work and strive to achieve results with purpose and passion.
Chillibreeze exists for a purpose and SPARK! aims to bring out the best in people towards fullfil that purpose.
SPARK! is about taking responsibility for results. SPARK! will challenge intellect, engagement, and creativity. It will also help in developing skills and move people into ever challenging roles.
How to Create SPARK!
Activities are aimed to ignite the inherent spark within each individual so that they may realize their true potential. We focus on facilitating a learning environment, encouraging and rewarding innovative ideas. For instance, every team member can now vote for an individual who demonstrates SPARK! the most.
Some have already discovered the joy of work and have demonstrated Spark! through multiple initiatives, challenges and extra miles and we hope that others will discover it too!

Chillibreeze Events and Celebration
At Chillibreeze there is no dearth of reasons to celebrate.
In May 2014, we renovated our old kitchen and now have a spacious, cozy place where CBers can unwind over lunch or coffee. And the shaded patio outside the kitchen makes a great place for lunches, discussions and even meetings.
It was great that our CEO, Ralph Budelman, was in town for the launch of our new venture, SPARK! We also had a group of talented and highly motivated new hires joining Chillibreeze, which was yet another cause for celebration. And to cap it all, the HR and the Admin group arranged for a sumptuous and delicious meal of barbecue chicken, salads and bread.
Promotions and Recognition
The month of July every year is a major occasion for all Chillibreeze employees. This is the time of the year when salary increments and promotions are announced company wide. The review system too has been evolving drastically as we become clearer about our goals, objectives and our commitment to our mission statement.
