The big month that CBers look forward to is when Chillibreeze Week starts. An annual event, which is tailored by the HR department as a way to bring a relaxing and joyful time for all the CBers. The four-week long event started on the 19th of September and was held every Saturday till the 10th October and covered a variety of fun filled games that everyone enjoyed. Chillibreeze staff members were divided into four groups–Untouchables, Terminators, Energizers and the Challengers. Each week these teams had to participate in a series of games, where teamwork was tested to the max.
Week One (19th Sept 2015)
The ribbons flew high to mark the beginning of fun, joy and laughter and everyone was ready for various events to begin. Marble race, Sack race and Ready Spaghetti, can you guess what these are? Yes, these were the events held on the first day! And it was a great sight to watch as the CBers tried to race each other while balancing a marble on a spoon in their mouth or hopped with a sack. These short events reminded us of our childhood and it was good to see that we can still have fun regardless of where we are and what we do.
Week Two (26th Sept 2015)
The second week was equally exciting and to spice up the fun, everyone had to wear local pinafore (jainkyrshah), sport a ‘pirate mustache’ and a mole. People could not help laughing at each other with their funny get–ups. The games lined up for this week were: Airlock, Earthball and the Hunt. Good teamwork was an essential to do well in these games and working as a team is something that has become second nature to CBers, thanks to the values the company follows. There were animated discussions and planning within each team and tons of laughter all through!
Week Three (3rd Oct 2015)
The first two weeks were emphatic and we got somewhat accustomed to the fun–filled Saturdays. And, as expected, the third week got into a more physical form of fun where we selected football (soccer) as the main event. Each team was to play every other team in a knockout format. Most CBers are football fans, but on this day they themselves turned out to be great sweepers, dribblers and finishers! The sunny day was exhausting, as we had to get away from the comfort of our seat and run around to play football. But, everyone was game–such is the versatility of the Chillibreeze spirit.
Week Four (10th Oct 2015)
The end of Chillibreeze Week for 2015 was near as we headed towards the last day of the annual event. Enthusiasm continued to be high. Each of us had to turn up in our ethnic attires, showcasing the rich cultural diversity within Northeast India. You can well imagine what it was like when we got ready for a photo shoot! Following this, some of the musically talented members entertained us and there was a round of extempore speeches on different topics! The hidden talents came to the fore. The day concluded with a round of dumb charade and prize distribution. The grand finale was a lunch with a delicious spread.
Great time worth cherishing
Though Chillibreeze week 2015 came to an end, the fun, the joy and memories will remain forever. And, thanks to everyone, it finished on a very high note. A special thanks to the HR & Admin team for all the wonderful events and the planning and coordination that went into it!
